ALDI has been named Supermarket of the Year 2024 in Roy Morgan’s Customer Satisfaction Awards, claiming the top spot for the fifth consecutive year, and eighth time overall!
ALDI’s average customer satisfaction score of 88.8% demonstrates how the supermarket’s commitment to providing shoppers with exceptional quality at everyday low prices, alongside excellent customer service is resonating with Australian customers.
Simon Padovani-Ginies, Group Director, ALDI Australia, said that the award win reflects ALDI’s ongoing commitment to customers. “We are thrilled to once again be named Australia’s Best Supermarket by Roy Morgan, for the fifth consecutive year. This achievement reflects ALDI’s ongoing commitment to delivering great quality products at everyday low prices that our customers can rely on.
“With the rising cost of living, we know many Aussie families are feeling the pinch. That’s why we’re more focused than ever on keeping grocery prices low and making every dollar count. Our entire business model is based on saving people money while making sure only the best products make it onto our shelves. From our curated range of 1,800 quality products, simplified packaging, our line-up of exclusive brands and our Australian first sourcing policy, to how we stack the shelves and load our trucks – delivering value and exceptional products to Aussie shoppers is what we do best.”
“Of course, award wins like this are only possible because of the dedication and hard work of our incredible team and valued Australian business partners, who help us deliver our Good Different shopping experience to our customers every single day.”
Roy Morgan’s customer satisfaction ratings are calculated from an annual survey of 60,000 Australians – the world’s most comprehensive ongoing single source survey. Covering 40 categories across all industries, the yearly award is presented to the organisation from each category with the highest number of top monthly ratings for customer satisfaction throughout the previous 12 months.
Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine commended ALDI for winning the ‘Supermarket of the Year’ for a fifth straight year at Roy Morgan’s Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards. “ALDI’s unprecedented run as the winner of the ‘Supermarket of the Year’ for five years in a row (2020-2024) was built on a perfect record of winning all 12 monthly customer satisfaction awards during 2024 with an average customer satisfaction rating of an exceptional 88.8%.”
“A longer-term look at ALDI’s performance shows the highly competitive supermarket has now won a record eight ‘Supermarket of the Year’ awards at Roy Morgan’s Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards and is currently on a 43 month winning streak stretching back to mid-2021.”
“As well as delivering a dependably high level of customer satisfaction to millions of Australians ALDI is also recognised by Roy Morgan as one of Australia’s top five most trusted brands – a position ALDI has held consistently over the last five years despite the challenges faced by the sector in an era of high inflation and rising interest rates.”
ALDI has previously won Roy Morgan’s Customer Satisfaction Awards for “Supermarket of the Year” in 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2016, 2014 and 2012, and “Mobile Phone Service Provider of the Year” in 2021, 2020, 2019 and 2015, and “Liquor Store of the Year” in 2017.
