ALDI Australia’s exclusive range of Lazzio coffee, roasted by ALDI’s long term partner, Black Bag Roasters, has been crowned Overall Champion of the Large Chain category at the 2025 Golden Bean Australasia Awards.
This is the second consecutive year that ALDI has claimed the prestigious top spot in the category, and sixth time overall in the past seven years! From $0.18 per cup*, ALDI’s award-winning Lazzio coffee beans offer luxury for less, and Aussies clearly can’t get enough, with Black Bag Roasters working tirelessly to produce a whopping 75 tonnes of coffee per week.
ALDI’s multi-award winning Lazzio coffee range also scored eight other Golden Bean medals in the ‘Large Chain-Store Espresso’ and ‘Large Chain-Store Milk’ categories for 2025.

ALDI has previously won the ‘Overall Large Chain Champion’ category in the Golden Bean Awards Australasia in 2024, 2022, 2021, 2020 and 2019 and ‘Large Chain Champion’ at the World Series Golden Bean Awards in 2024.

We are extremely proud to announce that two of the awards won within this year’s Golden Bean Awards are for NEW products coming soon to ALDI. Our Lazzio Luxe Reserve Single Origin Guatemala and Ethiopia Beans 500g have respectively won Gold in the Large Chain Espresso and Silver in the Large Chain Milk Based categories.
We will soon begin roasting these specialty coffees, ensuring our beans are as fresh as possible for when they launch in stores on Wednesday the 23rd of July.
